Best.bowl.of.oats.ever!

HAPPY ST. PATTY'S DAY!!

I had an incredibly creative bowl of oatmeal for breakfast! I was so excited about it!

-1/2 C oats in water
-1/2 C pumpkin
-1 sample package of lemony fish oil (it actually tasted like lemon! I mixed it in and it was almost overpoweringly lemon flavored, but quite good)

-a few blueberries
-small amount of trailmix (sunflower seeds, raisins, peanuts, dried apples, dates)
-a few carob chips! (yay, these might because an oatmeal staple!)
-1 fig chopped up
-a small piece of the Spirunela Raw Revolution bar I bought, also chopped into little pieces

Plus half a grapefruit on the side:

And coffee, altogether:

Yesterday evening I had to quickly grab some sauteed veggies/tofu and a Morningstar tomato basil pizza burger patty between teaching and racquetball.

I went to the gym early (I was meeting a friend at 8pm to play) and ran for 30 minutes. We played for about 45-50 minutes and afterwards I had a ton of energy so I ran around my (big) block twice which was another 15minutes! Yay for exercise, especially since I don't know if I'm going to be able to get to the gym today.

An Apple A Day at blueskyworld.wordpress.com is giving away PURE bars! OMG, these look amazing! Specifically the chocolate trail mix and the cherry cashew flavors! I would LOVE to try them!

  4. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COMMENTS! It really means a lot to me, as a new blogger, that you would stop by and take the time to leave a comment. I really appreciate them so much! :)

Blueskyworld--how cool! Another food blogger that plays and teaches the violin! Do you currently teach students? How long have you been playing?

Aimee--Thank you! I will have to make a run to Trader Joes as soon as possible! :)

Jaime--There is a pretty good chance that tomorrow's breakfast will be exactly the same, minus the fish oil (which I only had a single serving sample of!)

Again, thanks to all of you and I hope to stay in touch with all of you!
